This role is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a seed production platform from concept to execution. You will lead a next-generation program focused on developing hemp seeds and hemp seed products that have the potential to shape the future of hemp and cannabis globally.
You will help design and build the seed production and quality framework, define how it operates, and lead production at scale. The goal is for you to enable the shift from clonal propagation to seed-based production in this rapidly evolving market.
A dedicated team of experienced specialists will support you, but success in this role is based on your independence, accountability, and ability to build and implement effective systems.

Seed Production Manager 100% (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
Phase 1: Design & Build Seed Production Infrastructure
- Drive completion of the seed production infrastructure design in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Translate variety development into commercial seed products
- Lead equipment selection, vendor coordination, and commissioning
- Ensure all systems meet regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements
Phase 2: Build the System
- Create SOPs and work instructions from the ground up—no templates, no legacy systems
- Establish scalable processes across cultivation, pollination, harvest, and seed handling
- Implement quality control, traceability, and data tracking systems
- Define operational standards that can scale with the business
Phase 3: Own Production
- Take full responsibility for seed production output, quality, and efficiency
- Run glasshouse operations end-to-end
- Set production targets and deliver against them
- Use data to continuously optimize yield, quality, and cost
- Manage budgets and resource allocation with a clear business mindset
Leadership & Team Ownership
- Build, lead, and manage the seed production function
- Set expectations, drive performance, and make changes when needed
- Develop a strong operational culture focused on execution and accountability
Your profile:
- Proven experience in seed production, glasshouse operations, or intensive agriculture
- Demonstrated ability to build or scale operations—ideally from an early stage
- Strong leadership with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
- Experience creating SOPs and operational systems from the ground up
- Solid financial understanding and data-driven decision-making skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking ownership with limited structure
