Lino’s passion for cannabis escalated after completing his studies in biology and agricultural economics at ETH Zürich. As an avid cannabis enthusiast, he has turned his passion into his profession and is advocating for a progressive approach to this incredibly versatile plant. Fighting for cannabis to take up its rightful and much-deserved place in society, is a pursuit very near and dear to his heart.
Lino joined Pure Holding AG at the beginning of 2019. After his studies at ETH, he started as only the second employee in the research team of Puregene AG as Research Associate & Project Manager. However, due to his entrepreneurial talent and strategic vein, he quickly took on the challenging position of “Assistant to the CEO”, where he managed the group together with the founder of Pure Holding AG, Stevens Senn. In February 2020, Lino became part of the executive team of Pure Holding AG as Chief Operating Officer and has since assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer of Puregene AG. Lino was elected to the board of the industry association IG Hanf in August 2020, is also a member of several other associations and is politically very engaged in guiding Swiss cannabis policy in a constructive direction, by educating politicians, as well as the public.
Before joining Pure, Lino gained valuable experience in companies and start-ups, in the pharmaceutical, food and consulting industries, in Switzerland and abroad, such as V-Tech (South Africa), Highperformance Group AG (ETH-spin off) and McKinsey & Company.
