Dr. Leron Katsir

Previously working on the global intellectual property pipelines of Puregene as a Senior Advisor, Dr. Katsir is now leading Intellectual Property. He brings expertise from his diverse experience working in basic plant research, in agricultural technology for non-profits, and from his time as founder of a beverage start-up. In academia, Leron has made contributions to our basic understanding of plant signaling and plant development. As the Head of India Operations for Volcani International Partnerships, he worked to share Israel’s agricultural innovation in India and with partners around the world. He was CEO and Cofounder of FreundSaft GmbH a German fresh juice start-up. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University.
